L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail has started mainline testing of trains on Stage 2 between Miyapur and KPHB.
After getting approval from the Electrical Inspector General to charge the stretch on May 5, L&T Metro Rail started the testing on May 7.
Fourteen trains will be test run on this track from Miyapur to KPHB covering a distance of 4.4 km.
The Miyapur Depot is almost complete and ready to maintain trains.
V B Gadgil, CEO & MD, L&T Metro Rail, inaugurated the test run and also inspected the first test ride along with M P Naidu, Project Director, L&T Metro Rail, and other senior officials.
Gadgil in a statement said, “It is another important milestone for Hyderabad Metro Rail Project and for Stage 2 (Miyapur – S R Nagar). This is a testimony for bringing world-class metro rail facility to Hyderabad and very soon Hyderabadis will enjoy riding their own metro.”
