Maersk to introduce online facility to tackle overbookings

Integrated container logistics company Maersk is all set to introduce Maersk Spot, an online tool that aims to break the cycle of overbooking and offer the customers a simpler way to ship a container. Currently available as a beta site, the facility will be rolled out on maersk.com by the end of July, the company said in a release. Maersk Spot is available for all trades, except those in and out of the US, the statement said.
