The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has entered into an agreement with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the implementation of the ₹5,566-crore Dahisar to DN Nagar Metro-2 corridor.
The Dahisar to DN Nagar Metro leg is the first phase of the Dahisar-Charkop-Bandra-Mankhurd Metro-2 corridor and will be implemented by the DMRC which has prepared the detailed project report.
The DMRC has also been appointed as the interim consultant for the Dahisar-East to Andheri-East Metro-7 corridor through a separate contract. The DMRC will work as an interim consultant for the Metro-7 corridor until such time the general consultants are appointed so as to begin all preparatory and preliminary work to commence the project. The DMRC will also assist MMRDA in appointing the general consultants.
The DMRC, as interim consultant, will help MMRDA in appointing the general consultants for the ₹4,737-crore Dahisar (East) to Andheri (East) Metro-7 corridor. It will oversee the project and help prepare all documentation related to construction, including bid documents, estimations etc.
