A high-level delegation of Nepal Government visited the Visakhapatnam port here on Wednesday.
The members included Under Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Buddhi Prasad Upadhyaya, Under Secretary in the Office of PMO Dinesh Sagar Bhusal, and Council of Ministers Ram Prasad Subedi, Under Secretary in Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Devi Prasad Sharma, Under Secretary, Ministry of Finance.
VPT Deputy Chairman P.L. Haranadh explained to the team members the facilities and infrastructure of the port and invited the Nepal Government to make use of the facilities available for trade with India.
The Nepal team was keen to know about the facilities and logistics for effective and efficient movement of their cargo through Visakhapatnam port when compared to Kolkata port. They requested the VPT Deputy Chairman to extend and ensure some concessional offers to attract trade from Nepal.
