Paradip Port has achieved a record in daily handling of cargo. According to a statement issued by Paradip Port Trust, the port handled on last Monday a total of 3,57,424 tonnes of traffic surpassing the previous best of 3,44,621 tonnes handled on February 7 this year. The same day, the port handled 22 coal rakes, highest ever, -- 17 of them being BOBR (bottom open bottom release) and another five BOX-N.
S S Mishra, Chairman, Paradip Port Trust, has congratulated the port employees as well as the East Coast Railway for this achievement, the statement adds.
