Paradip Port Trust has achieved record handling of 7.09 million tonnes (m.t.) of cargo in February surpassing the previous highest quantity of 6.50 m.t. handled in a month during January this year.
In a communication, the port said the February performance signifies a growth of 26 per cent over the corresponding month of last year.
Paradip Port Trust has handled 68.77 m.t. cargo till the end of February compared to 64.52 m.t. handled during the corresponding period last fiscal. This is an increase of 6.58 per cent over the traffic handled during the correspondent period of the last fiscal.
