Port of Antwerp, one of the top European ports, is looking for investment opportunities in India. But, it has not yet finalised its plans. An European mainport that does not show much interest in India, does not have any future at all, Mr Marc Van Peel, Chairman, Port of Antwerp, said here today at a CII conference.
Antwerp port already has an MoU with Essar Ports to cooperate in areas of training, strategic investment. Mr Peel said that Antwerp Port is in negotiations with Essar Ports, but no decisions have been firmed up yet.
