Tamil Nadu has got a 40 per cent increase in outlay for railway works at ₹2,287 crore in 2017-18 as against ₹1,636 crore in the corresponding year.
For Kerala, the increase has been 19 per cent to ₹1,206 crore (₹1,014 crore). This includes capital investment programme with state joint venture for Guruvayur-Tirunavaya, according to a press release from Southern Railway.
The state-wise projects for works for Kerala includes the Thalassery-Mysore new line survey, capital investment programme with state joint venture for Guruvayur-Tirunavaya, traffic facility works of ₹13.5 crore and 11 proposals for construction of 21 ROB/RUB/Subways at a cost of ₹297 crore.
