The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), managed and operated by GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd, has bagged the Skytrax ‘Best Regional Airport in India and Central Asia Award', for the last seven years in a row across categories.
Skytrax is known for airport customer satisfaction survey. It is considered a prestigious award that recognises product and service quality across airports worldwide. The Skytrax World Airport Awards are a global benchmark of airport excellence, and widely known as the Passengers Choice Awards, according to a statement.
RGIA’s Skytrax awards during the past few years include Best Airport in India and Central Asia in 2010; Second Best Airport in India and Central Asia in 2011; Third Best Airport in India and Central Asia in 2012; Best Airport in India and Central Asia in 2013; Second Best Airport in India in 2014; and Third Best Airport in India and Central Asia 2015.
