Chennai-based low-cost airline SpiceJet has been sent a show-cause notice for alleged violation of provisions of the Companies Act.
The Chennai office of Registrar of Companies (RoC) sent the notice to the second-largest no-frills private carrier last month.
“We did send a show-cause notice to SpiceJet for violating the Companies Act. The notice was sent to the airline on December 26,” an RoC official said today.
The official did not divulge details about the nature of violations by the Kalanithi Maran-owned listed airline.
When contacted, a SpiceJet spokesperson admitted to receiving the notice but did not elaborate.
