To clear the extra rush of traffic during week-ends, the Salem Division of Southern Railway has proposed to operate special superfast trains between Chennai Central-Coimbatore-Chennai and between Tirunelveli-Chennai Central-Tirunelveli.
The service is to be effected from February 13.
Train No 06026 Chennai Central-Coimbatore superfast special will leave Chennai at 10.30 pm on February 13, February 20 and 27 (Fridays) and reach Coimbatore the following morning at 6.40 am.
Train No 06027 Coimbatore-Chennai Central will operate on February 15, 22 and March 1 (Sundays), departing from Coimbatore at 11.30 pm to reach Chennai the following morning at 7.15 am.
Train No.06024 Tirunelveli-Chennai Central superfast special train will leave Tirunelveli at 7.10 am on February 13, February 20 and February (Fridays) and reach Chennai Central at 8 pm the same day.
Train No.06025 Chennai Central-Tirunelveli special train will leave Chennai Central at 10.10 am on 1ebruary 16, February 23 and March 2nd (Mondays) to reach Tirunelveli at 11.30 pm the same day.
The bookings for the said trains begins today.
