Cash-strapped SpiceJet continues to cancel more flights into the New Year. It has temporarily discontinued a total of 628 flights between December 12 and January 31, 2015.
Of this, 488 are domestic and rest to Kabul and Kathmandu, according to information in airline’s website.
Some of the important cities to which domestic flights were cancelled include Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata.
Company officials could not be reached for a comment on the temporary discontinuation of the flights.
On December 9, the low-cost carrier cancelled operations of 80 flights a day till December 31. However, 10 days later it started operation of its full schedule of flights.
