The national airline of Sri Lanka is to join the Oneworld global airline alliance.
At a press briefing in Beijing ahead of the official opening of the annual general meeting of the International Air Transport Association, it was announced that SriLankan is expected to be inducted into Oneworld late next year.
The induction of SriLankan will see three new destinations onto Oneworld network in South India. This includes Kochi, Tiruchi and Thiruvanthapuram. This will see the Oneworld alliance spread to about 850 destinations in more than 150 countries.
