S. S. Mishra has taken over as the Chairman of Paradip Port Trust. Prior to this he was Member (Traffic) of the Inland Waterways Authority of India. An officer of the 1986 batch of the Indian Railway Traffic Service, Mishra has served in various zonal railways such as South Eastern Railway, Southern Railway and East Coast Railway before joining IWAI in August 2011.
Paradip Port has not had a regular Chairman since then Chairman G. J. Rao left in April. Deputy Chairman S. A. C. Bose has been functioning as the acting chairman. However, the position of Deputy Chairman is also likely to fall vacant soon as Bose is tipped to take over as Chairman of Tuticorin Port Trust, it is learnt.
