To provide better facilities to commuters, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation will be purchasing 1,000 new buses during the current fiscal, officials said here on Thursday.
A proposal to purchase the new buses, which will cost about Rs 150 crore, has been approved by the board of directors of the Corporation.
The State Transport Minister, Mr Raja Mahendra Aridaman Singh, has directed officials to ensure transparency in the tender process for the purchase.
