The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day soon after the Lower House assembled at noon on Monday.
Continued protests by the Opposition members with many walking up to the Speaker's chair shouting for justice prompted her to adjourn the House proceedings for the day.
It may be recalled that the Lok Sabha proceedings were disturbed earlier in the day after MPs shouted slogans against the PNB scam. TDP MPs also demanded "special category status" for Andhra Pradesh.
Opposition MPs -- especially Congress -- targeted the Government for the PNB scam, while the TDP members of Parliament protested over 'special category status' to Andhra Pradesh.
PNB scam also echoed in the Rajya Sabha with the Opposition MPs disrupting the proceedings over the Rs 12,700-crore fraud perpetrated by Nirav Modi on the public sector bank.
