Domestic air passenger traffic up 4.75%

The domestic airlines carried 53.18 lakh passengers in April, an increase of 4.75 per cent over the 50.77 lakh passengers carried in the same period the previous year.

The latest data released by the Directorate-General Civil Aviation shows that Air Costa reported the highest passenger load factor during the month of 77.8 per cent followed by Air India (77.3 per cent), IndiGo (76.9 per cent) while GoAir and JetLite reported a 76 per cent per cent passenger load.
