The Government is likely to announce constitution of the Planning Commission shortly.
Though there was no official confirmation, but there is strong buzz in the market that there will be formal announcement within ‘48 hours’ with the appointment of Deputy Chairman and Members.
Names doing the rounds for the Deputy Chairman post included former External and Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha, former IT and Disinvestment Minister Arun Shourie, besides, Shiv Sena leader and former Power Minister Suresh Prabhu.
