Services exports fell by 4.5 per cent to US$ 13.01 billion in April 2015 as compared to the same month last year.
The services export during April 2014 stood at US$ 13.63 billion, according to the RBI data released today.
Import of services during April 2015 also fell by 9.1 per cent to US$ 7.32 billion, against US$ 8.06 billion in the same month a year ago.
Services export in 2014-15 fiscal stood at US$ 167.01 billion, down 4 per cent from the year-ago period while imports were at US$ 88.19 billion, up 3.8 per cent from 2013-14 fiscal.
The services sector contributes about 60 per cent to country’s gross domestic product.
