Maruti Suzuki extended its morning gains ahead of the close on the BSE on Wednesday. At 2.55 p.m. the Maruti Suzuki stock was trading at ₹1,675.85, up 7.21 per cent on Tuesday’s close of ₹1,563.20. The company on Tuesday announced it had posted a 36 per cent growth in net profit for the third quarter.
BHEL also made further ground by late session to trade at ₹171, a gain of 4.05 per cent. The stock had closed Tuesday’s session at ₹164.35.
Hero MotoCorp rallied to quote at ₹2,074, a gain of 3.01 per cent on its previous close of ₹2,013.45.
Sun Pharma Industries shed some of its morning gains ahead of the close. It was quoting at ₹594 as against ₹582.90 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 1.90 per cent.
Cipla traded firm to quote at ₹417 as against its overnight close of Rs 409.60. This represented a gain of 1.81 per cent.
