Although leisure travellers would form a large part of the tourist groups visiting Monaco, the Mediterranean city state is keen on exploiting the potential of MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) activities from India.
Mr Guillaume Rose, President, Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority, said that despite Monaco's image of being a playground for the rich and famous, the country is keen to position it as a MICE destination for Indian corporates.
“We are targeting some large IT companies and asking them to host their company events there,” he said. The Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority organised a roadshow featuring Destination Monaco in Bangalore today.
This roadshow is around the theme ‘Champagne Evening'. The world's second smallest country, Monaco, is focussing on five experiential aspects to target the high-end travellers which include culture and event, spa, gastronomy, night life and casino..
