Madhya Pradesh's first and India's fourth ‘Carbon Flux Tower', used for recording absorption of carbon by trees for the purpose of carbon trading, was inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The tower has been set up in Betul district's Tawdi forest area (Sukwan) by the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department in association with Indian Space Research Organisation. At present there are 550 such centres in the world.
