Corporate lobbyist Niira Radia today met the CBI Director, Mr A.P. Singh, as the agency prepares a second supplementary charge-sheet in the 2G scam which is expected to be filed in the next few weeks.
CBI refused to comment on what transpired at the meeting which lasted for nearly 20 minutes in his North Block office.
“She is a witness in the case and can meet any official of the agency,” CBI sources said.
Ms Radia is listed as witness number 44 among over 125 witnesses -- the list includes some former bureaucrats of the telecom department, corporates and even the Attorney General, Mr Goolam Essaji Vahanvati.
The agency is likely to file the second supplementary charge-sheet in the scam by June-end or in the first week of July, the sources said.
