The United States is working with India to address the remaining issues related to the implementation of the civilian nuclear deal between the two countries, the State Department has said.
“We’re continuing to try to settle the remaining issues,” State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland told reporters at her daily news conference yesterday.
Nuland said that the United States is also in contact with some of these allied countries who are also pursuing nuclear deals with India, adding that there is enough work here for everybody.
“We all have the same concerns about the way this goes forward safely and fairly. So we’re in contact with each other,” Nuland said.
“I think the issues that we still need to work through other participants also have in terms of liability, cooperation, et cetera. So they have to be worked out,” the US official said in response to a question.
