At a time when the gap between demand and supply of skilled workers is increasing, the human resource outsourcing firm, PeopleStrong, plans to set up a “talent stock exchange” by December this year.

“There is so much of mismatch in the demand and supply of skilled workers. To plug that, we will be opening a talent stock exchange by December which will help in placement of the right person for the right job,” PeopleStrong Co-Founder and CEO Pankaj Bansal said.

The company already has a bank of 40,000 jobs through its different clients, including Nokia, L&T, SRF, Maruti Suzuki, Aditya Birla Financial Services, Tata Sons, Microsoft, Zapper, and Nokia Siemens Network.

“Placement consultants, who are registered with us, will place the CVs of job seekers in the exchange and we will screen from those to choose the right candidate,” he added.

Apart from hiring, the company will also provide consultancy service to the rejected candidates and advise them for skilling in areas where they were found lacking, Pankaj Bansal added.

“For the 40,000 jobs that we have right now with us, we will need four lakh people to go through the screening process,” he said.

Besides opening the talent stock exchange, the PeopleStrong is also planning to reach out to B and C class towns through a job centre chain under the brand ‘Hired! The Job Centre’

“Our job centre will be a kind of one-stop-shop. A job seeker will be assessed based on his skills and will be placed accordingly as we have different vacancies in different sectors,” Pankaj Bansal explained.

Emphasis would also be given in hiring of local people for the local jobs, he added.

In the next 24 months the company plans to open 30 such centres across different states in India. At present, it has three centres at Hyderabad, Delhi and Gurgaon.

On the investment front, Pankaj Bansal said that PeopleStrong would spend a total of about Rs 40 crore for the opening of the centres and technology infrastructure.
