Petrol and diesel prices were hiked for the second consecutive day on Monday. The price of auto fuels was raised by 60 paise a litre for consumers across the country. Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 60 paise a litre on Sunday too.
The sale price of auto fuels is being revised after a nearly three-month hiatus that coincided with the nationwide lockdowns.
After the upward revision, the price of petrol in Mumbai stood at ₹79.49 a litre, while diesel was sold at ₹69.37 a litre. Petrol in Delhi was sold at ₹72.46 a litre and diesel at ₹70.59 a litre. In Chennai, petrol was at ₹76.60 a litre while diesel was at ₹69.25 a litre. In Kolkata, petrol was sold at ₹74.46 a litre and diesel at ₹66.71 a litre.
