Passing on the benefits of drop in international crude oil and product prices, public sector oil marketing companies have cut auto fuel prices.
Petrol in Delhi is now cheaper by 49 paise a litre, while diesel is lower by Rs 1.21 a litre. With this change, petrol prices in Delhi will become Rs. 60.00/litre, and diesel prices will cost Rs. 48.50/litre.
The rate cut will vary from state to state depending on local levies.

In a statement, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd said that it has decided to effect the following price changes with effect from midnight of 1st/2nd April, 2015.
Prices of petrol and diesel were last revised on March 1. Since then, the international prices of both petrol and diesel have declined. The INR-USD exchange rate has however depreciated. The impact of both these factors warrants decrease in retail selling prices of both petrol and diesel, IOC said.
