Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner A.M. Raju on Wednesday said his department has proposed to the Labour Ministry to raise the minimum pension to Rs 1,000 from the current Rs 600.
“We have proposed to the Ministry of Labour and Employment to raise the minimum pension to Rs 1,000,” Raju said while addressing a seminar here on Employees’ Provident Fund compliance and technology-enabled advantages for provident fund settlement organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce.
He also said that provident fund services should be offered through automated teller machines like banks.
