The Andhra Pradesh Government has sanctioned Rs 216 crore from the State Disaster Response Fund to the Commissioner and Director of Agriculture, Hyderabad, towards input subsidy for farmers. This is for those districts whose agriculture crops were damaged due to drought kharif, 2011. This will help cover farmers where the crop damage is more than 50 per cent of the normal yields.
