The Government is working on creating 15 lakh jobs in the State in the next three years according to the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Speaking at the inaugural function of the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) campus at Cherlaguda Village near here on Saturday, the Chief Minister said five lakh students who were graduating every year in the State would be employed.
The Government was developing necessary infrastructure for imparting knowledge to students.
“Hyderabad is now a knowledge hub and has many advantages for industries such as information technology and pharmaceuticals due to the availability of talent,'' Mr Reddy said.
To provide access to education to the poor, over 27 lakh students were being financed in the form of scholarships.
“The financial outgo on scholarships is Rs 3,500 crore a year. It is a strain but we want to give education to all students who are below the poverty line,'' he added.
The management schools should find out new solutions to various problems in the society and economy. “Unless this is done, it is difficult to go ahead with development,” Mr Reddy said.
