The Centre has invited suggestions from people ( www.mygov.in) for the successful completion of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), according to an official release. MP has reported 100 per cent saturation (in terms of coverage of all households with at least one bank account) as on November 30, 2014. Goa, Kerala and Tripura, Chandigarh, Puducherry and Lakshadweep and 19 districts of Gujarat have already covered all households under PMJDY with at least one bank account. Till December 1, as many as 8.39 crore accounts have been opened under PMJDY and RuPay cards have been issued in 5.32 crore accounts. Its target was recently revised upward to 10 crore accounts by January 26 next year, from the earlier 7.5 crore.
