The Punjab government today intensified its campaign against child labour, the Labour Minister, Mr Arunesh Shakir, said.
Instructions have been issued to all district labour officers to conduct surprise raids on brick kilns, dhabas and shops to check the menace and free child labourers from their clutches, he said here.
Mr Shakir said the State government would motivate parents of such children to enrol their children in schools.
