The State Government has reconstituted the State Planning Commission with IAS officer, Ms Shantha Sheela Nair, as the Vice-Chairman.
Veteran industrialist Dr A.C. Muthiah of the SPIC Group has been inducted as a member representing industry.
Dr V. Shantha, Chairman, Cancer Institute, and Dr K. Sridhar will represent the health sector; Dr K. Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor, Karpagam University, Coimbatore, will represent the agriculture and irrigation sector.
Dr E. Balagurusamy, former Vice-Chancellor, Anna University, has been inducted as a member representing the education sector, a State Government press release says.
