Mr Akhilesh Yadav, son of SP chief, Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav, was today sworn in as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the youngest-ever to hold the office.
38-year-old Akhilesh Yadav will be the 33th Chief Minister of the most populous state. He was administered oath by the Governor, Mr B.L. Joshi.
He took oath in the presence of Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav, family members, leaders of various political parties and prominent personalities. 19 ministers of Cabinet rank were also administered oath besides 29 ministers of state.
The Cabinet ministers are Mr Azam Khan, Mr Shivpal Singh Yadav, Mr Ahmad Hasan, Mr Waqar Ahmad Shah, Mr Raja Mahendra Aridaman Singh, Ms Ambika Chaudhary, Mr Anand Singh, Mr Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya, Mr Balram Yadav, Mr Om Prakash Singh, Mr Awadhsh Prasad, Mr Parasnath Yadav, Mr Ram Govind Chaudhary, Mr Durga Prasad Yadav, Mr Brahma Shanker Tripathi, Mr Kameshwar Upadhyaya, Mr Raja Ram Pandey, Mr Raj Kishore Singh and Mr Shiv Kumar Beria.
