The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly was adjourned for the second consecutive day today, the second day of the Budget session after the address by the Governor, amidst noisy scenes by Opposition parties demanding adjournment motions on separate issues.
The Assembly Speaker, Mr Nadendla Manohar, had to adjourn the House for the day with members of the Opposition parties the Telugu Desam, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the BJP, and the Left parties CPI and the CPI (M) seeking adjournment motions.
Storming the podium and well of the House, while the TRS members held placards seeking a resolution for separate Statehood, TDP members wanted the liquor syndicate issue be discussed and guilty ministers sacked. The situation was no different from yesterday. The Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, expressed that the Opposition was seeking to stall the proceedings as it had no issues for debate.
