The Bihar Chief Minister, Mr Nitish Kumar, has urged the Centre to allot adequate quantity of urea in keeping with the state’s demand during the rabi season.
Mr Nitish Kumar today spoke to the Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers, Mr Srikant Jena, to place the state’s demand for urea to meet the requirement of farmers.
“The inadequate supply of urea has created a lot of problems for farmers and the adverse impact of it on rabi crops won’t be ruled out,” the Chief Minister said.
He said it was high time that the Centre must meet the state’s demand for fertilisers.
The Union Minister has assured Mr Nitish Kumar of taking necessary action on the latter’s request.
