The Centre is holding deliberations with all the political parties on the Telangana issue and a decision would be taken very shortly after a broad consensus is reached, the Union Minister of State for Home, Mr Jitendra Singh, said.
“The central government is discussing with all the political parties on the issue and I am hopeful that a decision will be taken very soon,” Mr Singh told media persons after reviewing the passing out parade of the 36th batch of sub-inspectors and executives at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Mr Singh said such matters were resolved only if there was a broad consensus from different quarters. A decision can be taken only if everybody, including all the political parties and people of all regions and communities agree on it, he said.
“I am sure that a decision will be taken by the central government very soon, which will suit the people of all the regions, and at the foremost, should also favour the country,” he added.
