The Ministry of Power will hold the final round of discussions on a relief package for state electricity distribution utilities on Thursday as it prepares to move the proposal to the Union Cabinet ‘very soon’.
“…We have been talking to the very highest level officials in the States. On Thursday, I will meet the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and close the discussion with the States,” said Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday.
Goyal was speaking after a workshop held for a programme for the electrification of 18,000 villages.
