The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (APIIC), the nodal agency for facilitation of industrial development through allotment of necessary land, has formulated draft guidelines for the allotment of land/plots/sheds etc. in industrial parks. These guidelines would be according to the provisions of Allotment Regulations, 1998, which were put in place with effect from June 1998.
This proposal is significant and comes in the backdrop of a series of scams that the State-owned Corporation is currently grappling with, including the high-profile Emaar land case.
These guidelines now cover the procedure for applying for allotment of land, payment of cost, execution of sale agreement, implementation of projects, execution of sale deeds, levying penalties etc. During the course of time, these guidelines have been modified and have undergone several changes.
According to a statement, the APIIC has also introduced on-line application system for filing the applications through Web site. The vacancy of plots and lands in the industrial parks would be displayed in the Web site of the Corporation to bring about transparency.
Keeping in view the changes in external environment, the Corporation plans to review and revise the Allotment Regulations. Accordingly, the revised guidelines incorporating the changes have been placed in the APIIC Web site (www.apiic.in) under the Draft Allotment Regulations – 2012.
APIIC has requested trade and industry bodies such as the FAPSIA, FAPCII and CII to furnish their views on the Draft Regulations. It is also holding meetings with its representatives at the zonal level for feedback and possible improvements.
The corporation has invited suggestions from entrepreneurs, industrialists and the general public on the Draft Allotment Regulations 2012, before March 20.
