Vigilance officials today conducted raids at the premises of former DMK Minister, Mr N.K.K.P. Raja, across Tamil Nadu in connection with a disproportionate assets case.

The raids by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption officials were in progress in Chennai and Erode districts, DVAC sources said.

Mr Raja is the latest among several DMK leaders and former Ministers besides MLAS to face police and DVAC action either on land grab charges or allegations of disproportionate assets after the AIADMK Government came to power in April last year.

DVAC had earlier conducted raids at the houses of former DMK Ministers, Mr Veerapandi S. Arumugam, Mr K. Ponmudy, Mr K.N. Nehru, Mr M.R.K. Panneerselvam, Mr T.M. Anbarasan, Mr K.P.P. Samy, Mr Durai Murugan, Mr K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran, former MLA, Mr B. Ranganathan, and sitting MLA, Mr J. Anbazhagan.
