To ensure greater transparency in purchases by the Rajasthan government, e-tendering process will now be followed for procurements exceeding Rs 50 lakh in State public works, water resources, police and forest departments.
“The move is to bring uniformity and transparency in purchases made by the four government departments,” the IT Department Secretary, Mr Sanjay Malhotra, said.
“A Web site for e-procurement has already been launched for this purpose and officials concerned are being trained,” he said, adding that other departments will also be covered at a later stage.
