Finance Minister P. Chidambaram today asserted that foreign investments are an imperative to address the current account deficit (CAD) problem in the country.

Current account deficit is a bigger worry than fiscal deficit, Chidambaram said in his Budget speech  in the Lok Sabha today.

Foreign investments of $75 billion are needed in the next two years to finance CAD, he said.
