Indian Institute of Information Technology will soon be opened in Una district of Himachal Pradesh, said the Chief Minister, Mr P.K. Dhumal.
“The opening of IIIT, imparting high quality professional education, in Una will put the district on the national map,” the chief minister said at a meeting after inaugurating a newly constructed shopping complex here.
The chief minister said that the proposal to channelise 73 tributaries of Swan river had been submitted to the Centre for funding worth Rs 600 crore.
