The Central Bureau of Investigation grilled the Kadapa MP and President of YSR Congress Party, Mr Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, in the illegal assets case for nearly eight hours on Friday.
“I have been told to appear again before CBI tomorrow at 10.30 a.m.,'' Mr Reddy told newspersons immediately after coming out of CBI's temporary office at Dilkusha Guest House here.
According to sources, the CBI Joint Director, Mr Lakshmi Narayana, and two senior officials from the Enforcement Directorate, New Delhi quizzed Mr Reddy on the Vanpic business deal and other issues.
Matrix Labs founder and industrialist, Mr Nimmagadda Prasad; former AP Minister, Mr Mopidevi Venkataramana, and the former special secretary in the infrastructure department, Mr K Brahmananda Reddy, who were already arrested in the case, were also questioned simultaneously.
Mr Jagan, who was summoned by the investigating agency earlier, arrived at CBI's office at 10.30 a.m. He was questioned in the presence of two lawyers and was given a lunch-break.
Police made elaborate security arrangements by deploying the Rapid Action Force and diverting traffic on the roads leading to the CBI office. The investigating agency had so far filed three chargesheets in the case. The CBI special court had earlier directed Mr Jagan to appear in the court on May 28.
In another development, senior politician and Telugu Desam Party leader, Mr M.V. Mysoora Reddy has formally joined the YSR Congress Party.
