The Indore Development Authority would soon begin work on five mega projects including a Sports Complex and Medicity worth Rs 2,000 crore on Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) mode to woo investment and for infrastructure development.
The authority has planned an investors’ conference here on June 24-25 by inviting 100 big real estate players for all five projects — Sports Complex, Medicity, Inter-state bus terminal, Transport logistic and Convention Centre, Mr Vijay Marathe, Assistant Architect Planner, told PTI.
The total cost of all the projects, likely to begin after bidding by August-September, would be around Rs 2,000 crore, Mr Marathe said.
Tennis star Mahesh Bhupati’s company Globo Sports has shown interest in the Sports Complex, he said, adding that the company has worked during National Games in Australia, Kolkata, Chennai and Ranchi.
Globo Sports also worked on National Games’ infrastructure in Pune, Mr Marathe said, adding that Indore’s Sports Complex would be built at a tentative cost of Rs 200 crore.
