The Karnataka Chief Minister, Mr D.V. Sadananda Gowda, has said that the State Cabinet would be expanded in a few days time.
In an informal chat with presspersons at Mangalore airport during his maiden visit to the city after becoming the Chief Minister, he said that he has done a two-phase Cabinet expansion after assuming charge as the Chief Minister. The next phase of Cabinet expansion would be done in a few days after consulting the senior leaders of the party.
Stating that the BJP-led State Government, which came to power in 2008, has given a new dimension for development in the State, Mr Gowda said all the development works initiated by his predecessor will be continued. Steps will be initiated for the effective implementation of development works.
The Chief Minister said that he would spend three-four days in a week in the State Capital. He would tour the districts in the remaining days.
