The Tripura Government has decided to allow its male employees to go on paternity leave, the Chief Minister, Mr Manik Sarkar, said on Wednesday.
“Decision to provide seven days paternity leave to male employees from now onwards was taken in the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday,” he told reporters.
The leave facility would be applicable for the employee's first two children, he said, adding that the State Government has increased paid maternity leave for working women from three to six months.
