Public sector oil marketing companies on Sunday announced a cut in the retail selling price of petrol by ₹1.42 a litre and diesel by ₹2.01 a litre in Delhi.
The price cut, exclusive of State levies, will vary from State to State and will be effective midnight tonight. After the change, petrol will cost ₹61.09 a litre in Delhi while diesel will cost ₹52.27 a litre.
“The current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and rupee-US dollar exchange rate warrant a decrease in selling prices, the impact of which is being passed on to consumers with this price revision,” IndianOil said in a statement.
