Public sector oil marketing companies have reduced the retail selling price of petrol by 50 paise a litre in Delhi while leaving diesel prices unchanged. The new price will be effective midnight October 31/November 1 and includes state levies. The change will vary from state to state.
With this change, the price of petrol in Delhi will become Rs. 60.70/litre.
"The current level of international product prices and rupee-US dollar exchange rate warrant a price decrease, which is being passed on to consumers with this price revision," IndianOil corporation said in a statement.
"The movement of prices in the international oil market and rupee-US dollar exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes," it added.
