The Government has approved the Ministry of Food Processing Industries’ scheme to set up new abattoirs and modernise existing ones.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved the Food Processing Ministry’s scheme, which expects to fund the setting up of 25 new abattoirs and modernise 25 existing ones across the country at a cost of Rs 240.25 crore.
